A piano key type interface including a second axis for horizontal movement. Both axis movements are tracked with Hall effect sensors measuring the proximity of a magnetic field to give continuous control signals.

Concept of this prototype is to to create the fader type linear pendent to continuous rotary encoders. Like the LED ring around rotary encoders the continuous fader would have an LED strip under a see-through fader material (black velcro in image would be replaced with silicone or similar) to see the realtime position of the fader. No motorised faders would be needed to recall preset positions.
